THIS WEEK THE SPOTLIGHT IS ON: RAJAN PLAYS GAMES!

Rajan is a content creator with over 1.98k subscribers on Youtube! On his channel you will find a variety of Fortnite related gaming content from funny gaming clips to Fortnite Creative tutorials. Some of his creative accomplishments include making it into UP and COMING, and having multiple features in the Creative Hub! Im sure there is a lot we can learn from his experience so, let's dive into the interview!

Congratulations on your progress as a streamer!
How long have you been a content creator? 

Rajan: I have been creating content since 2017. I’ve had a few YouTube channels in the past such as, “Lamborghini Gaming”, “GentleGamer”, and “DumbSkits”. But in 2018, I created my current channel.

 

What tips do you have for new content creators who are wanting to start streaming? 

Rajan: If you are a new content creator, I would first be on all or most social media such as YouTube, Snapchat, TikTok, Twitch, Instagram, Discord, and Twitter. Make sure all of your social media accounts have the same branding, like the profile pictures and banners. If you’re a YouTuber you should try to upload at least 2 times a week.

 

What games were you playing before Fortnite? 

Rajan: Before I started playing Fortnite I was addicted to a game called Grand Theft Auto Online.

 

What season did you begin to start creating maps?

Rajan: I started building maps seriously in C2 S1, but I did build a few maps when creative first came out but those maps were just for me and my friends to play.

 

Describe your creative process. 

Rajan: I first think of a game mode to make. After that I plan it all out in my head, if the game mode is based on a real video game, I usually watch videos of that game or play the game to get a better idea of what I will be building. Then I create a new island and start building. After I finish building the map I invite some friends to test the map if the map works well I publish it and I request a thumbnail for the map from the FCHQ Discord server.

Which map are you most proud of and why? (please share map name and code)

Rajan: I am most proud of my map “Crime City”. I first built this map in C2S2 for fun, also when I first built the map it was called “GTA Online”. I changed the name to Crime City in C2S5 because I wanted to get the map featured and to get a map featured it cannot have any copyrighted material in it. Crime City is also the most played map I’ve created. The map code is 3275-5218-3618.

What was your first Epic Feature?

Rajan: My first Epic feature was my map called, “Survive The Storm”. I was first featured on 2021 August 24.

 

What tips can you give to creators who are just starting out? 

Rajan: If you don’t already, aim to support a creator code, and post good content on a social media platform to reach 1,000 subscribers/followers fast. You should build maps that you actually enjoy making, don’t focus on the numbers. You should have good thumbnails for your maps and you should submit your maps for Discovery to get more reach to your maps.

 

How did you discover FCHQ? 

Rajan: I discovered FCHQ one day by just searching for maps to play on google and then the first link was FCHQ!

 

What are your favorite hobbies? 

Rajan: My favorite hobbies are playing video games and to make YouTube videos.

 

What are your favorite foods? 

Rajan: Indian food, and fries.

 

Are you excited about Creative 2.0? 

Rajan: I honestly am not excited for creative 2.0 because I feel like it will not be fun to build in. Right now Fortnite Creative is really fun and easy to build in but I feel like 2.0 feels like building an actual video game, and that sounds hard and not fun.

How do you think it will change the process as we know it?

Rajan: Creative 2.0 will be game-changing, all of our current maps will probably be bad compared to all of the maps that will be created with creative 2.0. For many people, it will probably be hard to build in but for some people, it will be easy and they will have a head start.

Do you have any favorite Fortnite Creators?

Rajan: If so, who are they? I have many favorite Fortnite Creative creators but my top 3 in random order are MustardPlays, YerkYT, and ImmatureGamer.
