STANDARD 1v1 BOXFIGHT TUTORIAL

BY JACLO (TEAM BLADE)

Guys, welcome to this tutorial! Im going to show you how to create a standard 1v1 boxfight map! So basically today I'm going to be showing you how to make a easy 1v1 box fights.

[00:00:34] : GET YOUR DEVICES

So basically what I'm going to go ahead and do first is go straight into the device's tab. I'm going to go to team settings in inventory to get the hud message device. I'm also going to get the barrier device and the timed objective device. And then obviously you're going to need your spawn pads otherwise you won't be able to spawn.

[00:0:47] : SET UP YOUR BOX

So once I've got that, I'm going to go into galleries. You can use whatever piece you want. It does not matter at all. It's totally your choice of what you want to use. But just for the sake of the video, I'm probably going to use the Art Deco (Gallery). So I'm just going to make this very, very simple. This is going to be the simplest thing you have ever seen. What you are going to do is you're going to turn building is pops to off. And this means you'll be able to build on it. So I'm are going to make a four by five area.  And I'm going to add some walls and build up the roof quickly. There! I've got our box area that they're going to fight in.

[00:02:41] : ADDING DEVICES

So what you are going to do now is, you are going to go ahead and get your player spawn pad and  just pop that down right there in your map. I'm just going to turn visibility off during games. Everything else (as far as settings) is fine. By the way, I'm not going to be doing a pre-game on this one, since its just a tutorial. So now that I've got two spawn pads. I'm going to get a barrier device now. And I'm just going to place that right in the center of my box-fight map. And what I'm going to do is I'm going to change the barrier style to brick.  Make sure it fills the entire area. And then I'm going to do (add) one more height. Sure, now it should block off the entire area, and I'm not going to place this over. I'm going to wait a second for that because I'm going to do a barrier drop mechanic first.

[00:04:24] : SETTING UP THE DROP BARRIER MECHANIC

Go ahead and grab your timed objective. So what I'm going to do is  set this to start when round starts: Yes. For the time, you can give them as much time as you want. I'm just going to put 15 seconds. Then you're going to label it "barrier will drop in". You can even change the text settings if you want. So let's just put bold blue. Completion behavior that's fine as disabled. And what you are going to do is you are going to go over to the fourth tab. And you're going to select to go when completed, transmit on Channel one. So this means that when this timer has gone all the way down to zero, it will transmit on channel one. And then what I'm going to want to do go to channels, and I'm going to click Disable when receiving from Channel one. This is the fourth tab again, but I'm going to do disable and receiving from Channel one and this will make it so that the barrier will actually go down.

[00:05:48] : SETTING UP TEAM SETTINGS & INVENTORY

Then what I'm going to do next is, I'm going to do team setting and inventory, which you're going to place that down. I'm going to grab whatever weapons we want. So in this case, I'm just going to do a gold pump and a blue AR. Grab some ammo, and I'm just going to put that all in there. There we go! And what I'm going to do now is I'm going to go change all these settings. So at max health, you're going to put up to 100 health. Starting health,100% health.

Max shield should be 100 shield and starting shields should be 100 percent. If you guys want to change any of these settings like movement, multiply; you can if you want. It's totally up to you. It will affect gameplay. So what are we going to do: infinite resources is going to be off. Eliminated Player Items and Eliminated Resources will be set to: Drop. Fall Damage will be set to: Off. Jump Fatigue.Depends where you want to do, I'm going to do off though. Glider Redeploy: Off. Spawn limit is going to be one. And we are pretty much done. You can add Health Granted on Elimination, so we'll do 50 for Health Granted on Elimination and then we'll give them 100 wood. And then these are pretty much fine, you can add elimination scores to this if you like. Let's do Two for an elimination or one for an assist. You can change these, so obviously only going to be using wood. Let's select 500 wood.

[00:08:54] : SETTING UP YOUR HUD MESSAGE DEVICE

And this is about enough. So once we have done that, we are going to grab our Hud message device. And we are going to put: Box up. So two seconds from round start, everybody will be able to see box up and it will display for 10 seconds. So I've got all complete set up for the box option, and then you will see the barrier will drop in six seconds. And then, boom!

[00:10:22] : OTHER THINGS YOU CAN CHANGE

So there are some other settings you might need to change. So I'll go ahead and show you that now. All right, so I'm going to go into my island. I'm going to go into a game. Max players, I'm going to set that to two since it's a 1v1. Teams, this one is free for all. Total rounds. You can put that on whatever you want or do five, so best of five. And then you going to scroll down and turn on Last man standing in the game. This makes it so that when you eliminate the person, you win the round. So that's pretty important.

Let's go over a couple of things that you might want to consider doing for example, changing the time of day. To make it brighter in the box, you could add a camera filter. Or fog, I wouldn't do that if I were you. But you can do that if you wanted to. Let's change Environment Damage to player built only, so they won’t be able to fall through the wall. Structure Damage to None. OK, so let's just scroll down again. Again so more some stuff you might want to change would be adding the new sliding feature. Also, if you're a bit of a sweat, you could choose to hide the back bling so that if somebody has back bling it won't show it.

CONCLUSION

Then that should be done now. Test it out to see how it works!
